I would like the fans working properly without replacing the entire climate control system and without disabling them completely. The rear (defrosting) door fans in my Aero stay on all the time when the ignition is on. They will turn off after about five minutes once I shut down the ignition.

It looks like this is a Vista only issue, I've noticed the same issue with other (non .NET) applications. Sounds like a graphics driver issue to me. Try disabling Aero and see what happens. Possibly the new WPF subsystem is using a different way to draw windows than the old WinForms library?
